Job Description :
- Main function : AEI Lead Engineer for FEED or DETAIL PHASE O&G project to
follow/check E&I material inquiries and supplies, packages inquiries and supplies, and to
review/comment engineering deliverables developed by DEC (Detailed Engineering
Contractor) sub-contractor.
- Review and analyse project scope of work & supply in accordance with the project
execution strategy ; appraise and define the relevant Eng Mhrs / AEI AXENS Team staffing
- Perform and/or attend to all the internal meetings : project weekly meetings / technical
meetings with other disciplines and process / Schedule review meetings , etc…
- Perform and/or attend to technical meetings with both Engineering Sub-Contractor (DEC)
and Client (AEI technical meetings, HAZOP/SIL, etc…) and promote/warranty AXENS
position and interests
- Organise and coordinate AXENS AEI Team works and activities on the project
- Instruct and follow-up DEC sub-contractor engineering development and deliverables
issues through weekly meetings (remote or face-to-face in AXENS or DEC office)
- Follow and review inquiry dossiers (Data Sheets & Material Requisition) for E&I material,
with technical bid alignment development or review, TBTs issue or review and
manufacturer technical documents review after order up to final issue.
- Suppliers/Manufacturer follow-up after order with technical documents review and direct
interface in coordination with DEC sub-contractor and AXENS AEI Coordinator.
- Perform E&I Material inspection in manufacturer premises upon request.
- Check and comment AEI documents from packages Compressors, Pumps, Blowers,
Exchanger, Heaters/Furnaces, Air cooler, Chemical treatment packages, etc…types
(Instrument List, I/O List, Instrument Data Sheets, Hook-Ups, Wiring Diagrams, Cables List,
Location and Cable Routing layouts, Earthing diagrams and layouts, PLC Panels, FAT
Reception Procedure, Vendor Data Book,…).
- Check and comment AEI engineering deliverables developed by DEC (Instrument List, I/O
List, Instrument Data Sheets, Interconnecting Diagrams, Single Line Diagram, Electrical
Consumers List, Hook-Ups, Wiring & Loop Diagrams, Lighting studies, Cables List, Location
and Cable Routing layouts, Earthing diagrams and layouts, Installation Typicals & Details,
MTOs, etc…) and address client comments (with the support and by instructing DEC).
- Check and comment F&G design deliverables developed by DEC or by 3rd party company
and address client comments.
- Perform technical and reporting aspects (weekly and monthly basis) to project
management and AEI Group manager.

Required Diploma / Certifications / Qualifications/Software :
- BTS CIRA, or DUT Mesures Physiques or MASTER university/Engineer degreed in
Instrumentation & Electrical,
- 10 to 20 years of experience on international technical projects in
Instrumentation/Electricity, preferably in oil & gas engineering,
- High team integration capabilities, with team spirit,
- Good English spoken and written,
- Human relation capabilities to animate/motivate an AEI Engineers team and work within
a overall project team in accordance with AXENS policies
- Autonomous, rigorous and reactive
Technical Specific Skills Highlights :
- Previous experience in AEI Team leading for engineering activities preferably in oil & gas
industry
- E&I equipment design/specification/sizing and installation in hazardous area (ATEX,
IECEx…) from inquiry dossier up to manufacturer data book review/approval including
material inspection in vendor premises
This shall include all type of E&I equipement such as control valves, ON/OFF Valves,
pressure safety valves and rupture disks, flow element and meters all types (vortex,
coriolis, US, etc), level transmitters and gauges all types, pressure/Dp transmitters &
gauges, temperature assemblies, junction boxes, cables, electrical heat tracing, F&G field
equipment, etc…
- E&I equipment inspection (FAT) in Manufacturer Premises
- Skilled with 3D model use (based on Navisworks Software tool) with the capability to
cross check the design and installation engineering deliverables (PIDs, List, Hook-ups,
Layout and Cable Routings).
- Experience in field engineering for construction/modules fabrication phase in YARD
workshop.
- Knowledge in SIL design covering SIL assessment and verification (by calculation)
International Norms & Standards Specific Knowledge Highlights :
- Knowledge and experience with O&G international codes and standards
(ASME/API/ISA/ISO/IEC, etc)
Software Specific Knowledge Highlights :
- 3D Model viewer (NAVISWORKS)
- MS suite
- HEXAGON and/or AVEVA E&I software tools would be appreciated
Language to be spoken / written :
- French
- English (mandatory)
